Trainers:
Martin Kountchev and Vanessa Costa Leite, disciples of Dr Hú Wén Zhì (胡文智), have been studying and practicing acupuncture of the lineage of Master Tung (Dǒng Jǐng Chāng 董景昌) for over 10 years, following the teaching of Dr Hú Wén Zhì (胡文智), Dr Yáng Wéi Jié (楊維傑), Dr Palden Carson and Dr Lǐ Guó Zhèng (李國政).

Training is organised in 9 weekends of face-to-face training.
Total of 117h hours of Face-to-Face training, supported by videos with locating points for home study.
Schedule of the face-to-face sessions:
Saturday (7h): 10:00-13:00 and 14:30-18:30.
Sunday (6h): 10:00-13:00 and 14:30-17:30.
Target audience and prerequisites: The training is intended for Chinese medicine practitioners/professionals and acupuncturists, but also students, at least at the end of their third year.

In case of payment in one instalment -10% = 1980€.

Programme
1. Study of the points of the Tung lineage, published by Master Tung (Dǒng Jǐng Chāng 董景昌)
In his book, Dǒng Shì Zhēn Jiǔ Zhèng Jīng Qí Xué Xué (董氏针灸正经奇穴学) Study of the Orthodox Channels and Extraordinary Acupuncture and Moxibustion Points of the Tung Family, Master Tung (Dǒng Jǐng Chāng 董景昌) publishes 207 points of the 740 points in his lineage.
2. Studies of the points of the Tung lineage, listed by Master Tung's main disciples (Dǒng Jǐng Chāng 董景昌).
Studies of other points listed by first generation disciples: Dr. Hú Wén Zhì (胡文智), Dr. Wáng Quán Mín (王全民), Dr. Yáng Wéi Jié (楊維傑), Dr. Palden Carson and from second generation disciples: Dr. Lǐ Guó Zhèng (李國政).
3. Study of diagnostic methods in the Tung lineage (Dǒng 董).
The main diagnostic method in the lineage of Master Tung (Dǒng Jǐng Chāng 董景昌) is palm observation (zhǎng zhěn 掌診). This observation is composed of two levels and allows the practitioner to identify the affected organ or organs, establish the therapeutic strategy and select the points to be used. Diagnosis through observation of the forearm (qián bì zhěn 前臂诊), face (miàn zhěn 面诊), and wrist (mài zhěn 脉诊) complete, when necessary, the diagnosis through observation of the palm (zhǎng zhěn 掌診).
4. Study of the specific channels (shén jīng 神经) of the Tung (Dǒng 董) strain.
The channel system (shén jīng 神经) of the Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage is completely different from the 14-channel system (jīng luò 经络) of conventional acupuncture. Its mastery is essential in understanding the specifics of the Tung style (Dǒng 董), in working out a diagnosis and the principle of treatment, and in the selection of points.
5. Study of holography (quán xī 全息) specific to the Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage.
Understanding and mastering the holographic concept (quán xī 全息), applied to the lineage style (Dǒng 董), facilitates the learning of the dot indications, and paves the way for research and a more intuitive practice. It expresses the three-dimensional aspect that characterises and makes the Tung (Dǒng 董) style so rich and effective.
6. Study of therapeutic strategies and methods of the Tung (Dǒng 董) strain
Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage-specific therapeutic strategies and methods stand out for their simplicity and effectiveness. The art of combining the specificities of the regular jīng luò (经络) and the shén jīng (神经) channel system unique to the Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage, as well as the following methods:
- Left- and right-transmitting needle method (zuǒ yòu chuán zhēn fǎ 左右傳針法);
- Needle method that transmits up and down (shàng xià chuán zhēn fǎ 上下傳針法);
- Crossed Shén jīng method (jiāo chā shén jīng zhì liáo fǎ 交叉神經治療法);
- United channels method (jiāo jīng yòu míng tōng jīng 交經又名通經法);
- Special organ communication method (zàng fǔ bié tōng fǎ 臟腑別通法);
- Bleeding method (fàng xuè fǎ 放血法);
- Dào mǎ zhēn (倒马针) and huí mǎ zhēn (囘馬針) methods.
- Qì mobilisation needle method (dòng qì zhēn fǎ 動氣針法);
- Quick needle method (kuài zhēn fǎ 快針法);
- Quick needle method (kuài zhēn fǎ 快針法);
- Method of following the channel to select the points to be drilled (zài xún jīng qǔ xué jì xù zhì liáo fǎ 再循經取穴继續治療法).
These methods are the basis of the acupuncture practice of Master Tung's lineage (Dǒng Jǐng Chāng 董景昌).
7. Study of the specific categories of points in the Tung lineage (Dǒng 董).
The points in the Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage are known for their great effectiveness. Some of these points are organised into various groups according to their specificity, such as the 72 unique needles of the Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage (dǒng shì qīshí'èr jué zhēn 董氏七十二絕針), the 32 resolution points of the Tung lineage (Dǒng 董) (dǒng shì sānshí'èr jiě xué 董氏三十二解穴), points that strengthen the immune system, points that enhance a point formula, points that tone the body, points that treat organs, points that treat foreign and chronic diseases, points that cultivate health, points that promote blood circulation and disperse blood stasis, points that harmonise, points that resolve tumours and masses.
8. Study of methods for constructing a formula of Tung lineage points (Dǒng 董).
The methods of constructing a formula of points, aim at the treatment of pathology by regulating the physiological movements of the body. They are based on essential concepts such as the point syndrome, the zone syndrome, the local root, the general root and the global movement.
Training objectives
To understand and master the specifics of the channel system jīng luò (经络) shén jīng (神經) and the points of the Taiwanese lineage (points of Master Tung and Dr Hu). These are essential for the application and understanding of the active point concept and the "Follow the channel (xún jīng 循經)" method, being the basis of Tung lineage acupuncture (Dǒng 董). This method ensures an effective practice that can be completed at a more advanced level by the method "Harmonising the movements (wǔ xíng tiáo hé 五行调和)".
Teaching strategy: Pragmatism and efficiency
Pragmatic teaching that presents the fundamental principles of acupuncture of the Tung (Dǒng 董) lineage.
Transmission of therapeutic methods directly applicable in the clinic.
Practical exercises that allow mastery of an accurate diagnosis and the establishment of an appropriate therapeutic strategy.
Didactic material designed for application of knowledge in order to minimize memorization effort.
