• Rhizoma chuanxiong praeparata (Chuan Xiong) 471 mg
• Rhizoma cyperi (Xiang Fu) 471 mg
• Fructus citri sarcodactylis (Fo Shou) 471 mg
• Radix et rhizoma glycyrrhizae (Gan Cao) 304 mg

Indications: Chai Hu Shu Gan San soothes the liver and harmonizes the blood. It is indicated in cases of overpressure syndrome and stagnation of liver Qi, marked by: pain, distension and fullness of the hypocondrius, chest oppression, tendency to sigh, or tendency to take deep breaths to relieve oppression in the chest, depression, irritability, feelings of frustration that easily provoke anger, repressed emotions, belching, nausea, difficult digestion, constipation, fullness and distension in the epigastrium and abdomen, muscle tension, distended breasts, irregular periods, cold and clammy extremities, alternating chills and fever, sensitivity to changes in the external environment, tongue with thin white coating, tense pulse. Chai Hu Shu Gan San can be used in cases of chronic hepatitis, cholecystitis, biliary reflux gastritis, chronic gastric, intercostal neuralgia, pleurisy, hypertension, depression, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, premenstrual syndrome, mastitis, breast hyperplasia, chloasma (melasma) and sexual disorder, when the patient shows signs of overpressure and stagnation of liver qì.
