Notes : Long Dan Xie Gan Tang clear away fire excess from the liver and gallbladder and drains damp-heat in the lower burner. For syndrome of damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, marked by headache, dizziness, tinnitus, irritability, short temper, red and sore eyes, swollen ears, or pain in the hypochondrium or the side of lower abdomen, or swollen external genitalia, or painful urination with burning sensation, or smelly discharge, or swollen and painful legs and feet, bitter mouth, red tongue with yellowish greasy coating, rapid and slippery or taut pulse.
